Las Vegas Eats: Our Guide to the Must-Try & Avoid Restaurants

I’m a foodie, I love to eat and explore new culinary traditions! You definitely don’t want to be around me when I’m hungry (just ask my husband πŸ˜„). I tend to be quite critical when it comes to culinary experiences. In this article, my goal is to share with you our top restaurants in Las Vegas, while also providing honest feedback on places we would not go for the 2nd time. Get ready for a culinary adventure!

Breakfast Restaurants in Las Vegas 2023

Whether you’re on the Strip or off, there is for sure a breakfast place near your hotel that’s perfect for you. But before you go, take a few minutes to browse the menus online so you can choose the perfect spot to start your day. Here’s what we’ve explored so far, you might want to avoid some restaurants in Las Vegas. Please note that this is solely our honest opinion and not an advertisement:

  • Eggslut, located in the Cosmopolitan Hotel, was absolutely remarkable! This breakfast was, without a doubt, the best we’ve had in Las Vegas so far 🀩. As the name suggests, Eggslut specializes in egg-based dishes, but their menu caters to everyone, offering a wide range from bowls to sandwiches. Yummy!
  • Mon Ami Gabi, situated in Paris Las Vegas, is another excellent choice for breakfast in Las Vegas. We also had my birthday dinner at one of the restaurants in this hotel, but I’ll share more about that later.
  • Juice Press, located in the Bellagio hotel, offers a couple of breakfast options, but unfortunately, we can’t really recommend them. The Acai bowl at Juice Press was nowhere near as good as the one we had in Hawaii. Neither were the smoothies πŸ˜–.
  • Omelet Bar, also in the Bellagio hotel, had good omelets, and surprisingly decent coffee (a rarity to find in Las Vegas). What we didn’t like about Omelet Bar is that all the food is designed for takeout.

Top Restaurants that serve Lunches on the Strip 2023

Whether you’re a food connoisseur or just in search of a satisfying midday meal, this chapter will guide you to some of the most delectable options the city has to offer for lunch.

  • Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is, personally, our favorite restaurant chain in the USA. You should try everything there: Scampi, Seafood Feast, Shrimp Net Catch, Run Across America, etc. Do me a favor, and add this restaurant to your list (you can thank me later πŸ˜‰).
  • Gordon Ramsay Burger, located at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, was a mixed experience. While my husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger, my experience with the 24-Hour Burger was disappointing. Not quite meeting the standards I had in mind for a chef with such a global reputation. However, if you decide to give it a try, I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as queues can be quite lengthy.
  • Yardbird Southern Table & Bar (Located at The Venetian). All I have to say about this restaurant is to not miss their famous Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken or their Shrimp ‘n’ Grits. De-li-ci-o-us! 🀀

Where to have Dinner in Las Vegas in 2023?

As the sun sets and the city’s lights come to life, the dining options in Las Vegas are nothing less spectacular. From fine dining establishments to hidden gems offering delectable surprises, see below our top recommendations for dinner on the Strip.

  1. Eiffel Tower Restaurant (Located in Paris Las Vegas). In one of my previous articles, I shared the reason for our Las Vegas trip – it was to celebrate my 29th birthday! Booking a table at the Eiffel Tower Las Vegas was a decision that certainly paid off. The salmon was absolutely delightful, and the view from here is simply stunning. For an extra special touch, consider reserving a window table, where the view of the Bellagio fountains is truly worth every penny.
  2. Nusr-Et (New York-New York Hotel). Where do I even start with this one? Known for its theatrical presentation and succulent steaks, Nusr-Et offers more than just a mealβ€”it’s a truly unforgettable performance. And the dessert….OMG!

3. Jaleo (Located at The Cosmopolitan). If you’re in the mood for authentic Spanish flavors, you can’t go wrong with their paella. It’s a must-try!

These dinner options offer a range of culinary experiences, from the finest French cuisine to classic American steaks, Spanish cuisine, and a romantic dinner with breathtaking views. Whichever one you choose, don’t forget to order a glass of prosecco and celebrate life!

Until next time folks! T.G.
